My Yoga Journey

I attended my first yoga class in 1997 and I was hooked! I loved the way it made me feel physically and emotionally.

After completing my teacher training course with the YTTC in December ’04 I began teaching Hatha yoga in Dublin and have been teaching ever since.

I have practiced various styles over the years including Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow and Anusara yoga. There are different things to be learned from them all and this influences my style of teaching.

In March 2005 I travelled to India where I spent an intensive month practicing yoga and meditation in the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala.

My Yoga Journey

I am continually learning more from yoga. This is through my own practice, further training courses and workshops with senior teachers and many yoga retreats.

In 2012 I completed my Kids Yoga teacher training with Rainbow Kids Yoga. And in 2017 I continued my studies in Advanced Teacher Training with The Yoga Room. I have also completed Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training with Wendy Teasdill and Womb Yoga Training with Uma Dinsmore Tuli. More recently she completed a 7 day Yin Yoga immersions with Travis Eliot. She is also a qualified Yoga Tune Up Practitioner and Level 1 and 2 Be Activated Practitioner.
I teach hatha yoga on a weekly basis. Each class has a different focus. Sometimes it’s back bends or twists or inversions and sometimes it’s different breathing techniques and the effect they have on us. I love being able to share what I am exploring in my own yoga practise with others.

I’m a firm believer in teaching what you practice and experience on the mat yourself, so it was after the birth of my first daughter in 2009 that I began teaching Pregnancy Yoga. I really enjoy these classes. I feel privileged to be able to positively impact at a special time in students’ lives. Classes cover asana (poses), breath work for pregnancy and labour and some meditation. It’s a relaxed environment where sharing and supporting each other is encouraged.
